the night of Halloween is on the 31st of October.All Hallows Eve was originally a pagan festival to celebrate the end of Summer and the beginning of Winter.
All Hallows Eve is also the night when the spirits of ancestors may be able to contact the living and pass on messages.
Scary Masks were traditional and part of earlier riotous parties
